Seeking any information at all to help connect the dots in family research. Desire to know about DAVID J. JOHNSON, Born 1812, Halifax, North Carolina,We think his father may have been Depmsey Johnson born 1793, Halifax, North Carolina, but this isnt proven, nor can we prove it so far. DAVID married feb 6,1842, in Macon Alabama to Mary Ann Macon, born 1825 in Upson county Georgia, She was the daughteR of Pleasant Macon ,b 1797 and Nancy Gray, b 1798-- 1853 buried at Luachapoka cemetery, Alabama.
Mary Ann Johnson and David j Johnson , had several children, George, Willis, Nathaniel, Nancy, who married Charles Wilson, Anderson, William Thomas, born in Coosa county Alabama, Ellen Gray Johnson, who later married William F Weir in 1881 Mc Colloch county Tx, Lou Amber Johnson, who married Thomas Jefferson Powell, James Wesley Johnson, who married Annie Dee Houghton and Charles b Johnson. We dont know what happened to David, where he died or where he is buried nor do we know what happened to his wife Mary Ann. We have heard that mary ann was living with two of her grown sons about 1898 in North Crockett county Tx but havent found that proof, the sons she apparently was living with were William Thomas and James Wesley Johnson. the son Nathaniel B. ranched in Brown county Tx in 1880, later moving to Indian nation, choctaw, Oklahoma in 1900, then to arkansas.........so many questions , we hope someone has some answers, thank you Your personal information will only be used to contact the submitter and will not be saved or used for any other purpose.
