I am searching for the James Martin Henry Kendrick family. Located in Lowndes County, MS in the 1850 Census.
The family was part of the Choctaw Indians. The connection is believe to be through the wife's family and 1/4 Indian. The family moved to Choctaw (Van Buren) AR. around the 1860's. They had children named, Alvin (lived in Joplin, MO. area and he moved to CA, Santa Maria near the latter part of his lived after his wife died. Willie Kendrick who lived and died in Cleburne County, AR. He was a music publisher. Susan Kendrick married James Wesley Jackson (my grandparents), and sister who married a Tipton and moved to OK. where the both were buried, location unknown. There might have had other children. It's believed that James Martin Henry Kendrick and wife were buried in OK also.
