ISO birth family of my deceased father. I know it's a long shot! He was born approx. Dec.17, 1920, give or take a few days. Adopted by Floyd & Beatrice Kane probably in Flint/Genesee Cty. Was renamed Willard Gilbert Kane. Was told he was left on doorstep of doctor's ofc, but this may not be true. Suspect possible Native American ancestry, but this may not be true either. Adoptive parents later divorced and Willard was raised by adoptive mother's sister and her husband. Although this aunt & uncle had legal custody of Willard, their adoption request was never finalized that I can tell. Does anyone remember someone who gave up a baby or had a baby taken from them around that time? Could have been anywhere in Michigan, as he may have been taken away from the birthplace.
