I am researching the GEORGE family in Okaloosa and Walton Counties, Florida. These descendants of Hugh L George and wife Mary Anne Cartright/Catrett include their children. Siblings: Burnette George Catrett (Clear Springs,FL area); James Lafayette George (Children's Home area and died in Paxton, FL 1926); Edward (Covington Co AL 1896 train accident) and twin brother Zebulon George (Paxton area by 1900); Parthenia Melvinie George Cadenhead (in Okaloosa Co by 1900). Thier migration route was Montgomery Co, AL to Pike Co AL to Crenshaw Co, AL on to Opp and Covington Co. (ca 1899) and into Okaloosa and Walton ca 1900. I have a few family memories which suggest location of ancestors of Hugh and Mary and wish to compare these stories with those other descendants might have.
