I am looking for the maiden name of Wilhelmina Kruse, married to August Kruse, one of whom applied for a Confederate veteran pension. Their presumed daughter Auguste (or Augusta) Kruse, my grandmother, married W.E. Matejowski in Lee, Texas, November 28, 1888. One of her daughters, born in Burleson County, January 1 1898 spelled her name Willie Minnie when she used it. Other children were Clara, Elsie, Leona/Leoma, George (twin stillborn), and Beatrice/Zelma Mae. Dyslexia runs in the family; Augusta was, I believe, semi-literate, and wrote with great difficulty in a childish hand.
