You are contacting the submitter of the query: Looking for my 4th great-grandfather, James Harrison. I believe he lived in Brunswick, VA
in the late 1700's along with good friend Wooten
Harris. His first name could also have been William. My 3rd great-grandfather (son of above)
was Lodwick Harrison born 11 Jan 1797 in Rowan Co,N.C. I do not know Mother's name or the father's for sure but Lodwick's first son was named James so I am going with it until I know anything differently. I do know that James fought in the revolutionary war in battles of the Cowpens, Marion, etc. He moved the family to
TN and we know that Lodwick was married 9 miles
south of Nashville and many children born there
until they settled finally in Fayette Co, IL where he died. No one can find anything on the
father and mother of Lodwick (also spelled Ludwick, Lodiwick, Lodawick. We do know that the
Harrison family was good friends with Wooten Harris family and the 2 families seemed to follow
each other from VA to TN to IL. Wooten Harris
also settled in IL. Any help would be so appreciated. Judy Harrison Jouglet Your personal information will only be used to contact the submitter and will not be saved or used for any other purpose.
