Mary Ann Macon was born in 1826 Upson County Georgia to Pleasant Macon & Nancy Gray....She married David J Johnson b abt 1812, Halifax, North Carolina on Feb 6,1842, Macon Alabama.....at some point the Johnsons moved from Alabama, they went to Texas. I find MARY ANN JOHNSON, IN THE UNITED STATES CENSUS OF 1880 IN Mc Culloch Co Texas, listed as May Johnson, age 54, she is a widow and living with her children....family stories indicate that she lived much longer than 54, but after 1880, I am unable to locate her anywhere.
