In approximately 1946 he travelled from Australia to Singapore and re-entered Australia at Fremantle in May 1948 on board the MV Charon. He gave an address in Newcastle as his proposed place of residence. Worked in Whyalla, Sth Australia as well as Perth W.A., and Melbourne at migrant hostel in Williamstown before moving to NZ in the late 1950s. Also known as Garry Lewis,Edward Scott and possibly Harry Lewis. Real name was Deryck John Golding.
