I'm searching for my brother that was put up for adoption I believe in 1958. He was born in Newark, NJ the best that I can find out was perhaps around 1958 or maybe even 1959.
His father was Italian and my mother is English Irish. My mother would have been about 25 years old. My father had left us when my baby brother was 2 years old. Then my mother starting dating Louis Vincent Tartaglia from across the street this is the baby's father. My mothers name at the time was Marjorie Carter. I don't knw if this was a black Market adoption or not. I do know the baby was adopted from the hospital my aunt said they could not see him because he had a cold and that was three days after he was born. My mother did not bring him home. One interesting thing I found out right after his birth we started going to St. Patricks school so it could also be an adoption thru the Catholic Church and if was it would have been handled by Monsieor Lonney. I'm also adding a picture that was sent to my mother that I got a hold of it says he was 3 months old on the back also there was a letter but my grandmother could not find it but she told me it said a nice family from South Jersey had adopted him.
