Searching for my cousin Joyce Ann Bickford.Was adopted by the Arabie family along with her sister Linda,who now lives in Texas.Haven't seen her since 1961 when they left Vermont.Joyce was born January 31,1953 in North Troy,Vermont.She has two brothers and six other sisters.One sister Diane Ruth died October 22, 1956,she was 7 years old.Joyce was only three then,so she probably wouldn't remember.Her mother Elsie lives in Georgie with Joyce's oldest sister Gloria.Her father Gardner passed away in 1991 in Woodland,Wa.He is buried in the Frank Abel Cemetery.
When the family left North Troy,Vt. they went to Texas and Texas told most of the children away,except for the younger two.They either were put in foster homes or adopted.Joyce was adopted by the Arabie family who they say were Jahovah Wittness.Her sister Mary lives in Maryland,Marsha in Washinton,John and David live in Washinton too,Linda in Texas,Gloria in Georgia,Allie who's name has been changed to Sallie,lives in Georgia.
As far as I know the parents couldn't take care of the children without money and a place to live.
