Name of birth mother may be Gerber or Halverson
The adoption was finalized in Waterloo (Blackhawk county) I believe in the Winter of same year of birth. Adoption would have been arranged by a local (Waterloo) doctor. Birth mother went to Sumner to have baby boy..the baby was taken by the attorney representing the adoptive family. Believed to also be a Waterloo family...family "rumor" is that this adoptive family also had previously adopted a baby girl.
* My fear is that your birth certificate was changed to reflect your new adoptive family as being your actual birth family...I have first hand knowledge of this being a practice used.
If your ever reading this brother...your sister has been looking for you for over 16 years. I have placed ad's in the Waterloo, Independence, Cedar Falls newspapers...and placed my information on various websites hoping that one day something might look familiar to you.
I imagine you to have dark brown, maybe even black wavy-ish hair, blue or hazel eyes that sometimes look squinty, and be at least 6' tall.
