Looking for Ruby Gerlene CARR (b:1897, TX). Ruby probably was born at or near Stephenville, Huckabay, or Thurber, Erath County, TX. Her parents were John Bennet CARR (b: 1871, Little Rock, AR) and Idella NORRIS (b: 1876, Burnet, TX). Her parents lived in Thurber, TX in 1901. Later Ruby lived in Stephenville, TX with her mother and brother, Bill CARR, until about 1916. Ruby attended a Baptist church in Stephenville where she did a Graduating Musical Recital in 1915 with Lena WILLIAMS assisted by Katie PICKARD. She then married a RAY, maybe Dee Ray?? at Post, Garza Co, TX. She died at age 20 years about two weeks after child birth in 1917/18 and was buried at Terrace Cemetery, site 463, at Post, TX.
