Looking for info on Patrick Edward Cawley, born in the 1850's, in Ireland. He immigranted to Wigan, England between age 14 and age 18. He lived there until the 1880's when he immigrated to New York with his wife, Mary Appleton, and their three children -- Mary, Joseph and Jack. His mother-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann Delaney Reid Appleton and Jimmy Appleton may have come with them. According to his daughter, Patrick Edward Cawley was born in Claflin, County, which she said was "above Sligo". I can't find a town or county by a name that sounds like Claflin. Perhaps it was northeast in Northern Ireland and the name was changed? Any help would be great.
