I am interested in finding more information on my ggggg grandparents James Walker, Sr. born 13 Dec 1755 Orange County Virginia married to Catherine E. Miller born 26 Dec 1764 Greenbriar County West Virginia. He was a member of The Old Three Hundred which were early settlers in Texas before Texas became a state. He is shown on Texas General Land Office Land Grant Papers to have been given a patent to land on 21 Jul 1824 and the total of acres was 4,428.40. Their daughter Lucretia Walker was my gggg grandmother and she was born 23 Dec 1789 in Kentucky. She married Silas Bell. Their daughter Mary Louisiana Bell (Polly) was my ggg grandmother. She was born 13 Oct 1823 Kentucky and married George Washington Thomason born 10 Feb 1814 in Salisbury North Carolina. Their daughter Edith L Thomason was my gg grandmother. She was born around 1850 in Lavacca Texas. She married James Barron. James and Edith had 5 children Benjamin born 1872 , William Alhaston (my g grandfather) born 1874 Lavacca Texas, Thomas born 1876, Susan Elmira Barron Brubaker born 1878, and John born 1880. Edith married James' brother John Robert sometime after James died. They had 8 children. William Alhaston married Clara Josephine Williams and they had J B Barron, Lela Bertha Barron, Dolly Barron, Della Barron, Beulah Barron and D C Barron. My mother Evelyn DeLois Barron was born to Lela and Nolan Pearce. Lela died in 1936 of TB after having my mom. She had been sick for some time with this. My mom was then adopted by J B Barron and his wife Ida Josie Belknap. I would appreciate any information on the early ones in my family as I have the information on my mom and grandparents and some on my g grandparents and gg grandparents. I really want to know more about the Old Three Hundred and if there is a group for descendants of this. My mom is in her 70's and I would really like to be able to make a book for her and our family before it is to late. She has always wanted to know more about the family. Thank you for your time and patience in reading this lengthy query. Debra Jouglard
