John Richard Jones (b. 1878), his wife Elizabeth (b. 1873) and their daughter Catherine (b. 1904) emigrated from Wales, UK in 1907/08 and settled in Jasper, Pipestone County, Minnesota. They had two other daughters, Priscilla and Rosella, both born in Jasper about 1913. The last record we have of the family is from the US Federal Census of 1930. John Richard was a stone quarry worker in Wales and also in Jasper. He is my uncle (father's brother) and his descendants have an extended family living in the UK, France and New Zealand.
I have found a Rosella Jones in Blue Earth County (MN) married to Robert C. Cornish. They had two children, James Leslie (1948) and Lois Marie (1949). James married Dorothy Jane Rydell and they had a son, Robert James in 1970. Are they my cousins?
I have also found a Catherine E Jones in Ramsey County (MN) married to Thomas Lauren Owens. They had a son, Richards Alan in 1947. Richard Alan married Diana Elizabeth Grove and had a daughter, Jennifer Cariad in 1971. Are they my cousins?
