I am looking for information on the Zahrndt families that settled in La Porte Co. IN. The family directly related to me, settled in South Bend, IN. Names I know for sure related to me from La Porte, are Carl Fredick Zahrndt who married Bessie High. Carl was the son of Louis Zahrndt and Sophia Thode. They lived in Michigan City in 1901. Carl and Bessie had 7 children after they moved to South Bend, IN. Their name are Dora, Delores, Hennrietta, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Kenneth and Carl. Louis and Sophia had other children. I would like info on Louis's birth place, parents and siblings if there is any information out there. ANY information. I have hit a brick wall on the Zahrndts from La Porte. Names I have found from the La Porte directory are Chas, Ed, Fred and William Zahrndt from the year1896, but haven't been able to tie them into my family. Thank you
