Gggrandmother Lavinah Faircloth/GgGrandfather Samuel Richardson. Child:Mozell Richardson, my ggrandmother, Thomas McManus, my ggrandfather. Born in Swainsboro, GA., Emanuel Co. GA. Children: Thomas, Robert, Frank, Nora McManus. My grandfather was Robert McManus/Grandmother was Martha Belle Pennington. My Mother: Mildred Muriel McManus Daniels. Thomas McManus told his 5 little boys that he was not going to OK with them. He had a nice horse and buggy. Mozell went with the children. Had a child on the way to OK later married Richard Angus McClellan and had a whole new family named McClellan. They traveled with a group of Bushhead Indians. Entered OK in the Durant/TX area. Was on Choctaw land, so they bought land in Maysville, OK. Was told that Mozell was Cherokee Indian. She would sit and comb her hair, it was long and black, would coil on the floor. She had a mouth full of gold teeth, so the family must have been wealthy back in those days. She had two dresses. Would say, "I've got to rise awashing." She swept her yard everyday. Mad flour sack bloomers for Uncle Tom's little girls. She tied sticks on mama and her sister Letha's back, so they would be straight. Check my website: http://www.rotharmy.net Has pictures of my mother, a home video of her playing her guitar, etc. Old letters she tells all she remembers of her grandmother Mozell Richardson McManus McClellan. Would love info from siblings, etc. Katydidinnc@yahoo.com Wonder what happened to Thomas McManus whom she left behind.
