Family lore said he was declared dead and she married again. He married Sarah Ann Sparks? about 1866. They had six children born in Greenup County, Ky. Boys: Henry, James, Alexander, Jesse; girls: Sarah Ann & Leona. All moved to Cherokee County Alabama between 1880 and 1893. 1880 Census, parents of Alexander born in N. C.
