I am a white female looking for my birth father. I was born Nov. 23, 1951 at St. Francis Hospital Greenville , S.C. My birth mother's name was Rheta Hurt and she lived in Anderson , S.C. at the time of my birth. Her parents were Ray and Frances Hurt of Anderson , S.C. She had two sisters named Edith Hurt and Cathy Hurt. Prior to my birth she was staying at the Greenville Rescue Mission which was an unwed mother's home at that time. All I have been told about my birth father is that he and my birth mother went to his high school prom together and that he had brown eyes. Shortly after discovering she was pregnant with me Rheta's parents sent her to Greenville, S.C. to stay at the unwed mother's home until after my birth. Rheta was told that my birth father came to her home looking for her after she was sent away and he was told she was staying with family. I don't think he ever knew she was pregnant with me.
