My name is Wendy Harvey(adopted name) Young. I am searching for my birth mother and/or birth father. I was born in Tarzana, CA on October 19, 1979.
I was told that there were some medical problems which mandated that needles/tubes be inserted in my head, which made holding me difficult.
I was told that my biological mother was pressured by her mother and grandmother to have an abortion because she was unmarried and made 3 appointments, cancelled 2 and someone prevented her from making the 3rd. I was also told that my biological mother was of Jewish descent. I was told that I also have a half-brother or sister. I was told I got my red hair (now auburn) from my father.
Regarding the adoption, I was told that my parents behind a couple in the process, but the couple in front of them decided to withdraw their names and try to have their own child which made my parents next in line to receive me.
