My grandfather was Henry Charles Elphick, he was born 1910 and passed away Oct 1987 in York, PA. He had a sister Marie and we believe they had two other siblings. The small bit of info we do have is that Henry's parents or grandparents migrated from England to US, probably directly to New York. They may have died during the trip or shortly after as we have no records. I believe either one of Henry's other siblings or his mother was named Phyllis. He loved this name and named his only daughter Phyllis Marie. She would be called 'Susie' all her life as she hated the name Phyllis. At some point all the children where orphans or foster children. No one really knows since Henry and Marie did not talk about their family. He and his sister lived in Rochester NY when they were young. Henry was a WWII veteran and made his home in York PA where he and his first wife, Pauline Garland Myers raised 5 children, 4 boys and a girl. Henry and Pauline divorced in the mid-70's when Henry married his second wife Helen.
Any info that can be shead on Henry and Marie's siblings, parents, etc would be greatly appreciated. We have so little to go on at this point.
