I am assiting my best friend in search of her birth mother. Patti was born June of 1965 , the adoption was finalized June 13th, 1965. She was born in Creston, Iowa in Union County at 10:30pm. The adoption was private and finalized in Des Moines, Polk County. The hospital records were destroyed in a fire at that facility. All Patti was told after her adopted mothers death was that her birth mothers name was conetta k sanford. Or something close to that, we are not sure of the spelling. That she was either from or attending school in Michigan and her birth mothers father was a minister. Patti's birth father was supposed to be her birth mother's english professor. All party's involved in this adoption, attorney and doctor are deceased. Patti has always wondered about her birth mother and even if you do not wish to meet in person, any medical history would be greatly appreciated and very helpful as she has 3 daughters of her own and is about to become a grandmother.
