my grandmother Elaine Sherman lived in South Pasadena until a few years after she married Claude Johnson in 1927.
As a young girl, she was in an "orphanage" in the area with her younger brother Eugene. He was "adopted" or taken into foster care. Her older brother Henry lived in Los Angeles. I have photos of Eugene and Henry.
Elaine babysat Margaret & Dewett Jo Murphy who lived on Meridien Avenue in South Pasadena. Dewitt played with a little girl Jean Dorris Nordwall. I have photos of the Nordwalls and the Murphys to share.
