My ggfather William Richard DAVIES was born in Ireland on 14 July 1842. In 1860 he was in South Africa, Eastern Cape (Frontier Armed and Mounted Riflemen. He married in Camama on 8 Dacember 1870, Martha Anne BENTLEY (b19 Feb 1852 d22 Dec 1932 Boksburg) The had 12 children and he lost 4 before he died in a lunatic asylum on 13 February 1905 in Bloemfontein under the alias Richard MOORE. He said he was an Irish king. Children: Thomas, Charlotte Laetitia, Mary, Martha, Sarah Ann, Francis Richard, William Morton, John James, Catherine, Daniel Edmund, Margaret Susan and Harriet Magdalene. I am looking for relatives.
