You are contacting the submitter of the query: Anyone help me with two names I have been searching two years for!?
James Millett (1836) born ?Ireland / United Kingdom. Son of John Millett (Cloth Weaver)born ? Ireland? or United Kingdom...Deceased on marriage certificate of his son James in 1874.
James (836) married as a 'Pensioner' and 'Widower' a Mary Jane Owen (1851) at St. John The Evangelist, (according to the Roman Catholic Rites) , Bath, Avon in 1874.
Two witnesses were THERESA SAMPSON / JOHN FRENDERICK FORD.
Cannot find James and mary Jane at all after the marriage in 1874. Did they go to Ireland or was James in Army?

James had a son called :-
John Bernard Millett born 1875, Devizes, Wiltshire, United Kingdom.
John Bernard Millett (1875) married Barbara Connolly in the Roman Catholic Church, Galway (this was how it was mentioned on his marriage certificate, and doesnt mention name of the church?) he married her in February
1898.
Have him only on the 1901 census as soldier in Infantry, Chatham kent, United Kingdom with his wife Barbara Millett (Nee Connolly) and son John Bernard (1900). Cannot find him after this, however he did go to India where some children were born and others in Curragh, County Kildare, where his wife came from.
If there is anyone there who can search the two names of James (1836) and John Bernard Millett (1875) for me and find out where in Ireland John Bernard (1875) married ie, the Catholic Church, Galway....can you get back to me on my e-mail address, or get in touch to discuss? would be most grateful. Also on John Bernard's Attestation papers, it says he was in the Connaught Rangers for 7 years and the Lancashire Fusiliers for 13 years.
Also and finally, John Bernard Millett (1875) did end his days living in Salford, Lancashire, England, and he worked as Commissionnaire at Rylands Library in Manchester. he died due to a beating he took from a drunk outside his occupational premises and month later collapsed.
Any advice at all regarding James and John would be very much appreciated. Any Milletts out there!?
Regina
