I have found a Jurry Grant in Denison, Grayson County Texas, in 1880. He is living with his stepchildren John, Maria, and Vina Laster.
I believe this is the father of John Henry Grant, Theopholus Grant. (Jurry may be a middle or a nickname)
Jurry Grant is 52, which would be the correct age of Theopholus in 1880. He was born in N. Carolina, just as Theopholis was.
This is where it gets kooky. There was a rumor that Theopholus married Nancy Lasiter, Purity Angeline Grant Lasiter's mom. Purity was he wife of John Henry Grant.
The three stepchildren John, Maria, and Vina have the right ages and birthplaces to be Nancy Lasiters children.
Question: Does anyone know anything about this Jurry Grant?
Can anyone living close to Denison Texas do the research to find out who he was?
