DavisI am looking for the maiden name of my great great great grandmother. Her first name was Abrigal. She married John C. Mason. I have not been able to find any marriage record. Elbert County has been mentioned but I have not been able to find any record. They had several children a daughter Mary Ann,She married James Nicholson, Ann Young Mason Married John Hudson, Wilie W. married Martha Cummingham,Alfred C. Mason who married Caroline (Carrie) Waller, Elizabeth A. Mason She married William C. Davis,and Caroline L Mason married Joseph Mosley.
John C. moved to Georgia from Cheraw district, South Carolina in 1790's when his father Joseph died. He moved with his Mother Elizabeth. I have not been able to find her maiden name either. I was told it may have been Watson? I know John C. had a sister Clarissa, and a brother Joseph who married Sarah Patterson in S.C. who had two children,to whom, he left in guardianship to John C and Possibly his mother Elizabeth. There may have been a brother William and a brother Charles C I belive Charles had a daughter Nancy who married a Bostick. I believe Charles stayed in South Carolina. I only know these 5 children of Elizabeth and Joseph Mason.
