I am looking for my birth mother. I was born 9/17/1964 in Lakeview, Michigan. My adoption papers list me as "baby girl Klunder." My birth mother was 19 years old when I was born and my birth father was said to be going on to college in the fall of that same year. From what I have been told by older family members of my adopted family that lived in the same area as my birth mother, my birth father's parents were catholic and would not agree to a marriage between my birth mother and himself, thus I was adopted. I was only able to get unidentifying information from the Michigan Adoption Registry, but from my adopted family members, I have been told my birth mother's first name was Sharon or Sheri and that she did not wish to see me after my birth. My adoption papers were drawn up and just needed to be signed after my birth and confirmation that I was healthy. I am not searching for my birth mother to disrupt her life in any way, I am wishing to receive health information. If she would desire to meet me or know anything about my life, that would be possible. I have just recently discovered most of this information after one of my distant adopted family members passed away and the family was together and the subject of my adoption came up.
