Amos Mead of Broome County, NY will probated 1846 lists Jerusha widow of Barton Short. It is possible that Jerusha was married to Benoni Short who was in Tioga County, PA in 1810 census. Amos Mead was Revolutionary Soldier buried in Everygreen Cemetery in Owego, NY. My ancestor, Amos Meade Short who married Esther Clark from Tioga County, PA may have been Jerusha and Benoni's son. There was also an Ira Short who was in Carroll County, IL in 1850 who may have been another son. Ira married Eliza Higgins, daughter of Michael Higgins.
