I am researching family history for my grandmother [Thelma J (Moran)Ogden] and great uncle [James Joseph Moran]. Their father's name was William Joseph Moran born Dec. 1895 in Spring Valley, IL. William J. lost his left arm in an accident (possibly train/railroad related) in Colfax Iowa. I have a copy of his WWI draft card stating he did not have a left arm. I am seeking any relatives of William, my grandmother is nearing the end of her wonderful life and my uncle (who is 90) would like to know more about his family. I know that William's parents were William and Anna Moran and they had 7 children (Miles, Thomas, William and 4 others I do not know their names). born: Dec 31, 1895, Spring Valley IL
died: sometime after 1920 (Thelma & James believe he returned to Spring Valley but are not certain) married: Mary Ellen Sage sometime around 1914 or 1915. They divorced around 1920. Mary Ellen remarried (Louis Damerval)
children: Thelma Jane born June 23, 1916 and James Joseph born Dec 17, 1917.
