The missing siblings of my grandfather (dads, dad)
Orrin O. Fairchild born about 1903
Alma E. Fairchild born about 1901
Granddad Eric L. Fairchild born 11 april 1899 died 31 Oct 1981 bogalusa louisiana.
Cencus Records show Eric Fairchild as the adopted son of Craven Fairchild & Eva M. Broom.
1900 Cencus also sshows Isaak (Isaac) Taylor as the son of the head of the house, which was Craven Fairchild. Isaak is listed as both black & white ? He is not listed as the son of eva.
There is an efriam taylor listed as the sister of Craven Fairchild.
She is listed as married 20 years before becoming a widow. also she is listed as black/white.
craven is white as are the rest.
I would like to solve this mystery since I had thought Erics wife Hattie May Fairchild to be his blood first cousin.
Hatties dad was Hiram Fairchild, Cravens full blood brother.
Efriam or one of Cravens full blood sisters could have been Erics biological mom.
Also does anyone know of any adoption information through the state of mississippi ?
Cravens birth mother was Lavinia McLemore, his dad was Aberaham Lundy Fairchild.
I would appreciate any and all information.
