Friedrich "Franz" GRAEBEL/GRABEL was born 1845/1846 in Bavaria. His wife, Maria Dorothea KUNKEL was born 10 June 1848 in Malstatt, Saarbruecken. (Her parents were Friedrich KUNKEL & Dorothea HORN) Franz and Maria were married in 1867. Their first son, Friedrich J. GRAEBEL was born April 1868 in Zweibrucken, before arriving in New York on 1 Feb 1872. Three more children born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
