I am writing a book about the descendants of Owen Dogharty, who migrated from Ireland to Norfolk County, Virginia, USA, in 1673. His descendants traveled south from Virginia to Craven County, North Carolina, in 1742, and included at least Owen, Solomon, Daniel, and Job Daughety. In about 1797, this large family sort of split in two, half remaining in Craven County and half migrating west to Warren County, Kentucky.
