My name is Christina and I'm interested in finding out additional information on the biological parents of my father whom is now deceased (4/2005). His adopted name was Donald James Kellar. He was born on March 27th, 1941 in Belcourt, ND (Rolette County).
Adopted from St. Johns Orphanage and Free School in Fargo, ND (in July 1961 a new facility was built and the name changed to Villa Nazareth in Fargo, ND).
He was adopted on December 14th, 1942 and the adoption paper work was filed in the office of the Clerk of District Court in the County of Williams in North Dakota.
His initial birth name was Roy Raymond Laverdure or Raymond Roy Vivier.
Biological mother was of French decent (with possible Native American blood, Chippewa perhaps?) Her name was either Joyce Vivier or Laura Laverdure Vivier. Biological father was of Syrian decent, don’t have his name.
His adoptive parents were James R. Kellar and Bernetta Kellar (both deceased).
