I am searching for the parents of Jacob Merle RYAN. He was born in Madison, Fayette, OH on Nov 28, 1824 and died in Harrison, AR, Jun 29, 1893.
He married Abigail Ann TAYLOR (b. Apr 22, 1828, OH; d. Jan 25, 1910, AR) on Mar 4, 1847 in Clark, IL. They had 10 children; Robert O., T.J., Rose J., Eliza J., Mary R., Wilber F., Reginald C., Annie L., Owen H. and Cora P.
Jacob Merle RYAN worked as a constable, a sheriff and a farmer. He served as a lieutenant, then a captain, in the Civil War in Co. G, 54th Illinois Infantry Regiment, enlisted Feb 12, 1862, discharged, Oct 15, 1865.
