I was adopted from an abusive situation from which I was taken by the state - My mother thought maybe I was given at birth up to a private adoption where I suffered the neglect and was then taken by the state. But she was not sure as records were sealed then and she got very little information about me when I was adopted.
I had been in state custody for awhile as when I was placed in state custody I was determined too ill for placement as I suffered from rickets from malnutrition.
I was placed with my parents at 18 months on December 11th 1964.
It was my parents understanding that I had three siblings at the time I was adopted. It was also their impression that they had not been placed for adoption or taken into state custody; although my parents were not sure about this.
I was born in Enid ok July 23,1963- on the medical records I received a few years ago the last name of Stanwi had been marked through but was clearly readable.
I know my name was Barbara.
