You are contacting the submitter of the query: I am a birth mother, and I am searching for my daughter that was born on Oct. 3, 1988, at 7:53 pm at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, TX. She weighed 8 lbs 12 oz, was 22 inches long, had dark blond hair and blue eyes.
She was placed for adoption through the Edna Gladney Center that same week.
I understand that she was the first child to be adopted by her adoptive parents. Her adoptive parents are very much involoved in all aspects of church life, and in 1988 they were attending a non-denominational Bible church.
Her adoptive parents are big sports enthusiasts. They love all kinds of water activities such as sailing, skiing, swimming, etc. Her adoptive father enjoys playing basketball, and her adoptive mother does needle work, cooking and volunteer work.
The adoptive parents wrote me a letter shortly after the adoption went through It was delivered to me through the Gladney Center. The letter that told me about a song they sang to their/my daughter when she was being fussy. The song was sung to the tune of Adelweiss, and the words were:
May the Lord, mighty God bless you and keep you forever,
Grant you peace, perfect peace, courage in every endeavor,
Lift up your eyes and see His face and His grace forever,
May the Lord, mighty God bless and keep you forever.
I also sent a letter to my/their daughter along with a gold charm that says "Special Baby." Your personal information will only be used to contact the submitter and will not be saved or used for any other purpose.
