The individual I am searching for is my full biological sister. She was born in
November(17th?) 1967 in Peekskill New York. Name given at birth was Cassandra Marie-but
maybe just baby girl was the official name that would appear on a certificate of any kind.
Father was Donald William Brown, born on March 24th 1938 in Bronx, NY and died on
4/18/75 in California. Mother is Sandra Jane (Gomlin) Stebbings Ineson and she was born in
Waterbury CT on June 17th 1945.
The last name of her paternal grandparents are Rainsford (grandmother) and Brown. The last
name of her maternal grandparents are Pasko (grandmother) and Gomlin/Gomlinski. She
has a full biological sister (Erlen Alexandra Stebbings (now Marsh)-that is me) born in Eureka, California on
April 4, 1970 and a full biological brother, Christopher Julian Stebbings, however, changed hislast name to Brown. At the present time our entire family resides on the east coast,
except for me.
She was given up for adoption through Catholic Charities-an adoption agency in White Plains,
NY. She is caucasian and at birth had red hair, light eyes(which may or may not have
changed) and a birthmark on the inside of her thigh. From what is known she was adopted
soon after being placed in the agency-that would be around 1968 or so... Parents were not
married at the time and mom used a false name at the time of birth, Summers- or something
like that-which may make it more difficult to trace.
Through some of my searching I have discovered that the agency may have been Cardinal
McCloskey Services. The address for McCloskey Services are at @ 2 Holland Ave-zip 10603.
Their phone is 914 997 8000 and inquiries should be attentioned to Mrs. Marjorie McLauglin.
The files would appear on Microfilm or microfiche at Iron Mountain which is a vault in White Plains NY.
This is about all of the information I have...I hope something in here helps get me a little
closer to perhaps one day meeting my sister.
