I was born Alvin Cabrera on 10/05/1980 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Dade County to Marlene Cabrera who was 16 at the time and came to the US on the Mariel Boatlift while pregnant with me. My adopted name is Jorge Casas, I was adopted through what used to be the Department of Children and Families. I'm desperate to know who my birth mother is. I know she was under foster care when she had to give me up, the process itself took up to 2 years. I was given as a foster child to my adopted parents when I was roughly a month or two old, the process itself wrapped up in 1982.
