I am searching for my birth mother and father. I was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 25, 1980, around 7:28 p.m. at Methodist Hospital.
I don't know much about my birth parents as not much information has ever been shared with me. My adoptive parents were told my birth mother was of Spanish descent, though we're not sure how much. I know nothing about my adoptive father.
I don't know if it was an open or closed adoption. My adoptive parents say they never met either of my birth parents. They say they worked only with the lawyer. To my knowledge, the adoption was set up prior to my birth. My adoptive parents told me I stayed in a foster home for a handful of days while the paperwork was finalized.
