You are contacting the submitter of the query: I am looking for my birth mother, Birdie Stacy, husband Harold Stacy and any siblings, as I was told there were several. I was born in the WW Hastings Indian Hospital on April 11, 1960. I am a 48-year-old woman, half-Cherokee and think that is why I was put up for adoption. Birdie Stacie/Stacy/Stacey is my birth mother's name. Harold Stacie is her husband. She is Cherokee Indian and gave birth at the Indian hospital in Tahlequah, April 11, 1960. Her ancestors were on a Roll. She was a light-skinned woman. She told the nurse during delivery that she was giving me up for adoption. That nurse was Carole Garde, my adoptive mother. Carole had her husband call the attorney and draw up papers and her husband drove with them for her to sign. He even visited her house postpartum, a town outside Tahlequah, I believe, regarding something to sign. I registered once around 1990, but I'm not sure with what registry now.
