My 2x's great grandpa, James Monroe Leaton, married Sarah leaton (Sarah's 2nd spouse was Sampson Swaggerty, 1850-1927).
My great grandpa, James Monroe Leaton II, born
2/23/1852 in Stockton, MO, married Amanda Jane (Felty) Leaton on 5/11/1872. Amanda was born 1/6/1853 in West Virginia I think.
My grandfather, Claude Horace Leaton, born 12/13/1887 in La Marr, MO, married Anna Maude (Oakes) Leaton on 6/14/1914 in Bentonville, AR.
Their daughter, Dorothy Jane (Leaton) Blume, born 11/1/1916 in Oelwein, IA, is my mother.
My father, Walter Blume, born 3/29/1942 in Sumner, IA. My parent divorced when I was only 1 year old & my father didn't keep in contact.
