When I was deployed to go to Viet Nam in 1966 or 1967,I can't remember exactly, my girlfriend Sharon Lee Howard told me she was pregnant. I was sure I was about to die, and I was very confused. Later, she called me overseas and said she had given up the child, a boy I think, to adoption.
We were both from Oklahoma, Catoosa & Sapulpa for her, and Chickasha for me. I loved her very much, but I was young and scared.
