I recently learned that I have an older brother who was given up for adoption between 1929 and 1942. Both parents were from Pennsylvania. Mary Josephine Barnes McMahon and Thomas Wilfred McMahon. I was born in 1943. When I was a child I had an "Imaginary" older brother named Paul. My father had an older brother named Paul who died very young and way before I was born. I didn't know about him until I was much older. It stands to reason an older sibling might be named Paul. The Barnes family was toally against their daughter marrying into the McMahon family. Jo and Tom went together when she was still in high school (graduating 1930 from Philipsburg PA high school). They did not get married until 1942 and eloped to Elkton MD.
