I am looking for information on my gg grandfather and ggg grandfather. My gg grandfather was Walter (G) PARKS. He was born in Gonzales Co, Texas about 1860. He was the son of (we think) John E. PARKS born in TN about 1835.
Walter is listed twice on the census records in 1880; once as the son of John E. PARKS in Gonzales Co, and then as HOH in Williamson Co, Tx. He is listed as married on both of them and I believe that he moved after the census was conducted in Gonzales Co but before it was done in Williamson Co. I am looking for anything that might confirm that my Walter is the son of John.
I am also looking for any information on John E. Parks and his wife (whom I believe to be Mary A. Dumont). The 1880 census lists John's father as born in TN and his mother born in NC.
I have DNA evidence that suggests that at some point in the family history (which I believe occured just before John PARKS), the CAUDLE family enters into the picture. My hunch is that John Parks or his father was really a CAUDLE son and somehow became a PARKS either thru adoption or some other reason. If anyone has any information showing a link between the PARKS and the CAUDLEs, I would also appreciate it.
