I was adopted March 20, 1968 in Kansas City Missouri. I am bi-racial. I was one of the first legal bi-racial adoptions. I believe I was adopted through Catholic Charities. My parents also tell me that I was in foster care for almost a year before being adopted. I believe my mother was white and father was African American.
