I found the family in the 1920 Marion County, Ky Census with seven children listed: Ernest b. ca 1908 ; Margarette b. ca 1911 ; Lucille b. ca 1913 ; John Leonard b. ca 1914 ; Mary Stanislaus b. ca 1916 ; Thomas b. ca 1918 ; Josephine b. ca 1919.
In the 1930 Census, I find a Thomas and Josephine in St Josephs Orphans Home in Louisville plus a Joseph Gootee born after 1920.
I'd appreciate any help finding the parents of Richard and Maggie or contacting any of their children.
On GenForum I found a posting by Mary Joe Hasty Jacobs, their Grandaughter, from the year 2000 but have rec'd no answer or follow up.
