He was born as Joshua Kyle Blackwell at Portsmoth Naval Hospital in July 1988. My name is James Brigman although it is unlikely that my name appears on the birth certificate. His Mothers name was Suzanne Blackwell, Her military sponsor was her step father Jerry Oxford. He was adopted through Catholic Family Services in Norfolk Va. to a family in the Nothern Va area per the person who worked at the service at the time.
His mother took my last name when we were married, she left me and was remarried and her last name was Spoford I believe. Last contact with her was in 1996, she was serving the USAF in Guam.
