I need help with some information on one of my "Brick Walls"
Eliza Jane Gootee 1819-9 Apr 1880. I've been unable to find her parents, siblings if any etc. Eliza had a son Joseph Wingfield Gootee 1856-1905 and unable to determine his father.
On 12 June 1860, Eliza marr. James W Moore in Dorchester Co, Md.
After years of searching I finally found that Eliza died in jail on 9 Apr 1880 in Dorchester Co, Md.
I'd like to know if anyone had seen any record of her jail time and what she was charged with etc. I can't find anything online pertaining to this and unable to get to Dor Co, Md from New Hampshire to check the newspapers for that period. Also, I've never found any cemetery record for Eliza as a Moore or as a Gootee.
