I am searching for any single member of a family named "WISE" consisting of Eric Wise (the father) his wife's maiden name was either "AUFRAISE" or ANFRAISE.
Eric Wise - date of birth approx 1927 in England and his wife was possibly born in Algier's in 1929.
They had three daughters and one son.
The childrens names and DOB are as follows.
FRANCINE. M. WISE - D.O.B. 7 June 1949 France?
ELLEN. C. WISE - D.O.B. 2 Oct 1950 Chichester.
ANNE. M. WISE - D.O.B. 18 Jan 1954 Uknown?
MICHEL. WISE - D.O.B. 1958 SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
Mrs "WISE" and her three daughters left London for Australia on 17th July 1956 by ship (Orion)
It is assumed that ERIC WISE left beforehand to set up his work position (RAF) at Edinburugh Airfield in Adelaide.
The family remained in Adelaide from 1956-1961 approx and went to Antibe's (Alpes Maritimes)and then went back to London in approximately 1963.
On the 9th of January 1964, I received a letter from the eldest daughter - FRANCINE WISE - and her family was living at 51 Dagmar Rd, Wood Green, London N.22.
My family became very attached to the WISE family and for whatever reason, we lost all contact.
Now some 48 years later I and my family are desperate to find any one of the WISE family.
I guess the fact that the father travelled a lot in his career has made it difficult to trace the family or any one of its members. What makes it even harder is that in all probability, FRANCINE, ELLEN and ANNE married and not knowing their married names I have come to a dead end.
I would be most appreciative of any information that could help me locate or know the girls married names. I wouldn't even know how to look at the Geneology side but I live in hope that someone can help me. I will even shout you a dinner when I next visit the U.K. or reward in some small way.
